BIO
My Name is Ruaraidh Canaway and I am a University graduate looking to make my impact in the programming world. I have studied both Computer Games Application Development at Abertay University and studied software development at Forth Valley College. Due to this I have a wide skill set and I am able to absorb new skills at a quick rate! I love the art of programming itself and have a huge passion for solving problems with code. I am currently searching for a role within games or software development that lets me explore the boundaries of my abilities.
Abertay University (2017 - 2020)
Bsc(Hons) in Computer Games Application Development (2:1)
I attended Abertay University in Dundee to study games programming, achieving an honours qualification. This was a fantastic learning experience, the course covered a wide variety of skills required by any programmer not just for games. Covering fundamental and complicated programming structures and algorithms, using the C++ Language, The University granted the opportunity to create a game as part of a team of multiple disciplines, for an outside client. Learning valuable experience for working in a team in the future.
Forth Valley College Falkirk (2014 - 2017)
HND Software Development (A)
I studied Software Development at Forth Valley college in Falkirk. Achieving a Higher level education before moving onto a HND. There I learned a variety of core skills, including Java Programming and SQL, where i achieved Oracle Certifications in both. Time was spent covering extra computing skills such as Linux, Ethical Hacking, Web Development and more.
Balfron High School (2005 - 2011)
Intermediate Level Education (A)
I Attended Balfron for the full duration achieving a standard education at an Intermediate 2 level upon graduating.
